Bees on Green Oyster Fungi Bowl
In a recent exploration of the movement of clay around a hexagonal form, these beautiful wavy edges began to emerge, creating this lovely new shape, reminiscent of oyster mushrooms. Enamored with this unexpected discovery, I enhanced the form with color and pattern to create a series of Oyster Fungi Bowls.
This one features black bees on a spring green backdrop. On the floor of the bowl a bee sits upon a yellow and green floral design. Carved lines accentuate the undulating shape. The interior design continues on the exterior of the waves, leading to a similar design underneath. It rises off the table on a tripod of honeycomb textured feet.
It is 4” tall and 9” in diameter.
